Eligibility for export payments is a separate matter from the product itself, varies by supplier, and should not be assumed for a plug-in solar kit. Our calculator therefore defaults exported electricity income to zero.

If your supplier has confirmed both eligibility and a rate for your specific system, you can model that separately — clearly labelled as conditional.

Questions worth asking your supplier

Ask whether they accept a system of this type, what evidence they require, what rate would apply and whether metering arrangements need to change. Get the answer in writing before factoring it into your decision.
