Summary
A pre-purchase checklist covering model identity, supplied contents, mounting, permissions and registration.
What you will learn
- Why DC panel rating and AC output differ
- What 'complete kit' should mean
- The checks to complete before ordering
DC panel capacity is not AC output
Panels are rated in DC watts; the kit's output to your home is limited by the microinverter's AC rating. A kit with 1,030 W of panels and a listed 0.8 kW AC output is normal, and the extra panel capacity helps in weaker light.
Before you order
Confirm the exact model code and register reference. Confirm what is physically in the box, including mounting hardware. Confirm the mounting method suits your space. Confirm property permissions. Read the manual. Understand the registration step that follows connection.
